Because it’s an enterprise language, not doing sexy web / app stuff — I always loved VB (having programmed professionally in BASIC since 1980, and delivered expensive VB-based commercial enterprise products), and think it’s way under-valued for Desktop apps.

On a related note, I think we need old-time 4GLs for the web, as the Javascript mess we have so reminds me of the ’90s with C++ based UIs …
